1

Attend the international maritime festivals

Every 4 years, Brest is transformed to welcome boats from all over the world. In total, more than a thousand boats converge in the bay! From the old riggings of yesteryear to the ultra-modern boats of the French Navy, this celebration is a unique opportunity to discover exceptional boats, to follow fabulous parades and to attend races and maneuvers in a festive atmosphere!

2

Discover Oceanopolis

Oceanopolis is a unique center of scientific culture dedicated to the oceans. Organized in three pavilions representing three different environments, Polar and Tropical, it brings together some 10,000 marine animals and plants. The XXL aquarium offers a unique journey to the heart of the oceans, a dive into a fascinating universe of diversity to better understand the marine environment and learn to protect it.
3

Take the cable car

Embark with a simple bus ticket for an original urban stroll in the great city of Finistère. Totally new in France, this cable car links the city center to the Capucins site, located on the other bank of the Penfeld, the coastal river that borders Brest. There is nothing better than to travel some 72 meters high to enjoy the panoramic view of the Recouvrance bridge, the Tanguy tower, not to mention the harbor and the installations of the French Navy.
4

Take a detour to "Jeudis du Port"

An artistic, friendly and oh so festive event, the Jeudis du Port combine concerts, street art shows, family activities and visual arts every summer. Entirely free of charge for the public, this event is also a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Breton culture and to discover the warm atmosphere of Brest's harbor!
5

Take a trip to the White House neighborhood

Only a few steps from the city center, but sheltered from the urban agitation, hides a small port like no other in Brest: the Maison-Blanche district. Overlooking a lovely pebble beach, seventy fishermen's huts dress the landscape with their bright colors. Here, the small huts used to store fishing equipment are not for sale, they are simply passed down from generation to generation. A must-see!
