You can't find your luggage? Or you find it damaged?
The luggage service will do its best to localize your luggage. Below you will find a list of the different luggage services, whether it is your airline or the ground handlers. The baggage service is there to take care of missing or damaged/returned baggage (according to each airline's conditions).
In all cases, it is important to make a declaration to the baggage service or on the dedicated kiosks before leaving the luggage delivery area, to obtain a file number that will allow you to launch a search and be contacted again.
For some airlines, it is possible to do this within the first 24 hours after the arrival of your flight from their website.
If you have a file number, you will be contacted quickly without any further action on your part (generally, the file is settled within 1 to 2 days, up to 5 days). If not, please contact your airline as soon as possible.
In the case of a damaged luggage, the coverage of the damage depends on:
- The type of incident that occurred to your luggage
- The contractual and commercial rules specific to each company.
Only the airline will be able to analyze and process your claim, provided that a declaration was made immediately after the damage was discovered when the luggage was delivered to you upon arrival of your flight. This declaration can be made at the luggage claim service or at the dedicated kiosks in the baggage delivery area. You will then receive a file number that will allow you to be contacted again.
For your information, luggage handling and luggage service are the sole responsibility of the airline or its assistant. Lyon Airport's customer service department is therefore unable to answer your requests and follow up on your luggage files, and invites you to contact your airline's website or the contact information below.
