Tightening of border controls / Travel advice.

Tightening of border controls / Travel advice.

Due to the reintroduction of border controls*, passengers can expect longer waiting times, particularly during peak travel times such as the summer holidays and at weekends.
At peak travel times, we advise passengers to arrive at the airport 2 and a half hours prior to the departure of their flight (except for domestic flights).

For further information, the graph below indicates peak travel times.

You can also contact your airline to find out if any special measures need to be taken.

*Following the declaration of a state of emergency, additional security measures are being implemented at Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport. Border controls are now being carried out on people travelling within the European Union (not applicable if travelling within France).

Construction work and airport access

Access to the airport and terminal signs have been changed due to the opening of the new Terminal 1 Hall B. It is advisable to consult the mobile app or the Real-time flight info section on the airport's website to check your departure terminal and decide the best way to access the airport.

Arriving by car? Remember to book your parking space to guarantee parking and take advantage of our discounted online prices

Or consider using public transport offering regular service to the airport (Express tram, bus, train). Choose your preferred mode of public transport in our Access & Transport section.

We thank you for your understanding and hope you have a good journey.
