réglementation des médicaments

What regulations for medecines ?

Travel with peace of mind with your essential treatments

Traveling by plane often involves long hours in a confined space and a different routine than at home. To avoid any stress or health problems, it is essential to take your essential medications with you. Whether you take regular treatments for chronic illnesses, occasional medication for travel sickness, or solutions against allergies and mild pain, good preparation allows you to fully enjoy your trip. Regulations on drug products differ between companies  and destination countries, so it is important to know the rules before departure and keep your treatments at hand in your carry-on baggage.

Ordonnance

Prescription drugs

All regular treatments prescribed by your doctor should absolutely be taken with you. Keep them in their original packaging and keep the prescription or a medical certificate handy, as some companies or customs may request it. This includes treatments for heart, diabetes, asthma, or any other indispensable chronic medication.

Mal de transport

Travel sickness medications

Medications for airsickness or motion sickness are very useful for long trips or for people sensitive to movements. They allow you to travel comfortably without nausea or dizziness, and can make all the difference on a flight of several hours. Remember to take them before takeoff according to the instructions of your doctor or the package leaflet.

In case you forget to take your medication, you can buy more at the pharmacy in Terminal 1.

Médicaments

Analgesics and antipyretics

Carrying simple painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen can be useful for managing headaches, body aches, or minor pain related to travel. These treatments are practical, especially if you wish to avoid looking for a pharmacy upon arrival in a foreign country..

Allergies

Allergy medecines

Antihistamines are essential for people prone to seasonal allergies or unexpected reactions. Having your treatments on allows you to quickly manage symptoms, whether they be food allergies, insect bites or pollen.

trousse de secours

Complementary first aid kit

Even if it is not strictly medicated, a kit containing dressings, disinfectant, compresses and medications against digestive disorders can be very practical in flight. It allows you to quickly manage small incidents and travel more calmly.

Bagage à main

Tips for transporting your medication by plane

Always keep your medication in your hand luggage, never in the hold. Check the quantity rules for liquids and medicines in the form of injectable solutions or sprays. Also note the destination rules: some countries require specific certificates or declarations for prescription medicines, including psychotropic or opioid-based treatments. Finally, prepare a plan B with a double of your prescriptions in case your luggage is delayed.
