Drink a Spritz at the Danieli

The Aperol Spritz, a trendy Prosecco and Aperol cocktail, was created in Venice. An alcoholic long drink to be savoured in the legendary and old-fashioned setting of the Danieli, one of the most famous hotels in Venice, opposite the lagoon and just a stone's throw from the Doge's Palace.

Visit the glass factories on Murano Island

Easy to get to by boat, the largest and most famous of the islands in the Venetian Lagoon is definitely worth a day trip. Stroll along the banks of its Grand Canal flanked by charming boutiques, and discover the ancient art of glass blowing, the island's speciality.

Choose your Carnival mask

Venice Carnival usually takes place in February and is one of the most popular carnivals in the world. The lakeside city is awash with dances and evening entertainment for ten days. Before the festivities begin, take time to choose your Pierrot, Harlequin or Colombine costume and mask.

Breakfast in St. Mark's Square

Flanked by buildings that are as impressive as they are majestic (Basilica, Doge's Palace, the bell tower, etc.), Piazza San Marco is probably the most famous square in the world. Best visited very early in the morning before the hordes of tourists descend upon it. Follow your early morning visit with a coffee on the terrace of Caffe Florian.
