Lyon and its region

Experience the genuine French «art de vivre»

Découvrir Lyon et sa région

At the heart of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, between vineyards and mountains, Lyon is a city of culture, history and business. Located at the crossroads of Europe, it is the 2nd largest economic hub in France. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lyon is a remarkable city, known as the capital of French gastronomy and internationally recognised for its cultural events such as the Festival of Lights or its Contemporary Art Biennale.

Its city centre is home to high-end boutiques
and traditional craft shops
where you're sure to find your heart's desire!

Enjoy a meal in one of Lyon’s famous bouchons (traditional restaurants) or go all out and treat yourself to some fine dining, as this city boasts more Michelin-starred chefs than anywhere else. Let yourself be tempted by one of the region's famous wines such as Côtes du Rhône, Beaujolais or Bourgogne.

And with the nearest ski resorts only an hour and a half away, you can enjoy a trip to the mountains at any time of the year.

Lyon and its region, the ideal place to experience the genuine
French art de vivre!
