Security control stages
1. Hand baggage checks
Hand the following items to the security officer :
- Your carry-on luggage (travel bag and handbag)
- Jackets and coats
- Laptop (out of its case)
- Large electrical equipment (cameras, video cameras etc.)
- A plastic bag that meets the stipulated dimensions containing liquids, gels and creams.
- Food for babies and young children
- Liquid medicines with a prescription
All these items will be checked by an X-ray scanner, which detects metal items.
Please be aware that some pieces of luggage may be thoroughly searched by the security officers. These checks are carried out randomly.
2.Passenger checks
You will now pass through a metal detector. (Notify the security officer if you are wearing a medical prosthesis which could be affected by magnetic fields. You will be asked to provide supporting medical documentation).
Palpation control
All passengers must be screened, including children and newborns.
You will be frisked if:
- You set off an alarm when passing through the detector
- Or if you have been randomly chosen.
Security officers may use a mobile metal detector as part of the frisking process.
You may be asked to take off your shoes if they set off the alarm.
Avoid wearing steel-reinforced shoes.
Tip : To ensure that checks run smoothly and to avoid setting off the metal detector alarm, remove all metal objects before you reach security control (coins, keys, mobile phone, belts etc.).
Remember to pick up all your personal belongings once the checks have finished.
